Denver Eats

Denver – The Mile High City and home to so many beautiful mountains! This is a place most people probably come to spend time in the mountains whether it is hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter. If you have spent time in the area, but not in the downtown area of Denver, you are missing out on their food scene! Their food scene is so diverse and incredible with so many delicious, local spots to try. From bagels to pastry shops to Asian fusion to tacos to so much more, Denver is an underrated spot for food lovers. All of these spots mentioned below have been some of my favorites and places I have been to a few times. My bestie also lives in the city, so I am constantly hearing of new spots to check out when I am in town. If Denver hasn’t been on your must visit list, let this be your sign to book a trip. If you’re like me and not the most outdoorsy person, then a weekend trip is perfect to soak in the city and grab some good meals; plus check out a sports game while you’re there – they have a ton of pro sports teams to check out.

Want a perfect weekend itinerary? Land Friday and head to Cholon for dinner (make sure to grab a reservation). Start your Saturday with a bagel from Call Your Mother; grab a light lunch at the Milk Market and walk around and make sure to snag a sweet treat from Lo Dough; for Saturday dinner pop over to Jovanina’s (but make sure to make a reservation for downstairs). For a lazy Sunday before heading out of town, start with a heavier brunch at Denver Biscuit Co; then I’d recommend a lox bagel sandwich from Rosenberg’s on your way to the airport (you may still be full from brunch, but pick it up and save it for the journey home).
