El Colmado

This spot serves authentic Spanish tapas and they are located in the bustling Alexanderplatz area, so it is great for the warmer months to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Having been to Spain numerous times, I can confidently say that this tapas does meet the mark and is authentic and delicious. Their menu isContinue reading “El Colmado”

Salhino

This spot is located in Charlottenburg, so it is on the west side of Berlin just past Tiergarten. This spot has also been open for a decade and has a long history of authentic, family cooking that will bring you in the door and keep you coming back. We were over in the area aroundContinue reading “Salhino”

Prime Kebap

The majority of Prime Kebap’s locations are located on the west side of Berlin near the edge of Tiergarten and further west. We found one just outside of the train station as we headed to walk around Kudamm to shop and explore the area. I’d probably rank this Doner towards the top because it wasContinue reading “Prime Kebap”

Alt Berliner Wirtshause Henne

It is authentic, delicious, and such a fun atmosphere. This is definitely a local favorite and popular spot, and while you will find tourists in the know, this place is as authentic as it gets. This restaurant also serves one thing they are really known for, chicken. This restaurant has also been around for overContinue reading “Alt Berliner Wirtshause Henne”

Manufacture Delicate

This spot has been around since 2013, and when you walk in the pastry case and bread wall is just mesmerizing and incredible. It is the perfect mix of cozy neighborhood bakery and serious craftsmanship. This cafe opens at 7am, which was perfect for the jet lag because we woke up around 5am waiting patientlyContinue reading “Manufacture Delicate”

Efe’s Grill

This Doner spot is a bit outside of the city but if you are in the area it is so worth it. There’s a fun little background on this spot that has a personal connection, and it’s the reason why we went all the way out here. Like I mentioned, this spot is outside ofContinue reading “Efe’s Grill”

Kaplan Doner

There are at least two locations of Kaplan, one near Kreuzberg and the other near P.Berg. We stopped in the P.Berg location, which is basically across the street from a shopping center, so it is perfect for a quick bite while you’re out shopping. Like I have mentioned before, there are so many Doner locationsContinue reading “Kaplan Doner”

City Kebab

We were walking around the area and I was in need of a Doner, since I hadn’t had one in about an hour lol. We found City Kebab and so we popped in. Unfortunately, this spot served Doner a little different and didn’t have the traditional Turkish bread that makes it so signature. But thatContinue reading “City Kebab”

Cafe Jenseits

This is a long standing cafe serving burgers, breakfast, and more in a rustic, hip atmosphere. This spot is super chill and a great place for a coffee and snack or a full meal, depending on what you’re in the mood for. My husband and I were enjoying a lovely walk around Kreuzberg and myContinue reading “Cafe Jenseits”

Sironi

Sironi is serving pizza and bread straight from Milan, right in the middle of Berlin. While Germany has so many incredible breads and a wide range to choose from, the Italians do know how to make some delicious focaccia and pizza and it is hard to resist. Sironi has several locations across Berlin and mostContinue reading “Sironi”
