Seattle is known for fresh fish and there are so many delicious spots to get fish and sushi! I am always on the lookout for delicious sushi spots since it is one of my favorite foods and recently stumbled upon Momiji. It is a small spot located in SLU, and even though they are small, their sushi is mighty! I stopped in for lunch and the menu was so mouthwatering it was incredibly difficult to choose what I wanted to try!
I decided to grab a roll and some salmon nigiri. They have all sorts of nigiri and sashimi to choose from and standard, vegetarian, and special rolls. Even though all the rolls looked incredible, the South Lake Union Roll was calling my name. It comes with snow crab mix, avocado and cucumber then is topped with seared salmon, scallions, tobiko, aioli and chili glaze. HOLY CRAP. This was like a symphony went off in my head at first bite. It was the freshest, tastiest sushi I have ever freaking had. The salmon was so buttery and smooth. I loved the sweet and spicy balance on the roll as well. Unbelievable flavor balance. If you can only go to one sushi spot in Seattle, this may be my new favorite.
