I made this recipe a while ago and actually completely forgot to share it! You can also tell it is a bit older because my phone camera was really starting to decline at this point, so the photos are not my best work. But this dish sure is! It is literally so quick and easy to make and so tasty. It is on the sweeter side, so if you are wanting something a bit spicier add some sriracha or chili flakes to really make it pop. This dish though is garlicky and sweet without being too much, the garlic really helps to even out the sweetness and definitely serve it alongside roasted broccoli and white rice for the best combination.
- 2 Lbs Chicken Breast, Sliced
- 1/4 Cup Cornstarch
- 8 Cloves Garlic, Thinly Sliced
- 2/3 Cup Honey
- 2/3 Cup Chicken Stock
- 2 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Butter
- Salt + Pepper, To Taste
- Oil – I used Sesame Oil
- 4 Green Onions, Sliced
- Optional For Serving: Rice, Roasted Broccoli, Red Pepper Flakes
- Serves: 4
- Prep Time: 10 Minutes
- Cook Time: 20 Minutes
- Total Time: 30 Minutes

To Make:
- First let’s make the sauce. In a medium bowl, mix together the chicken stock, honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Whisk together well to ensure the cornstarch and honey are both dissolved and set aside.
- Heat a large pan over medium heat and add in the sesame oil. Once hot add the garlic cloves and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Next, add in the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes to brown the outside.
- Next, add in the sauce mixture you made earlier and the butter and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking for another 10-12 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked through and the sauce thickens up. Make sure you are stirring occasionally so nothing burns.
- Remove and serve with rice and broccoli and top with red chili flakes and green onions, if desired.
