Did you know one of the worlds largest coffee bean growers is located in Kauai, Hawaii? AND that you can visit it and take a self guided tour AND try their coffees for free?! Talk about paradise. As if Hawaii isn’t already incredible, if you are a coffee lover, this is a must for a destination. They grow, harvest and roast all of their coffee on site and boast a humble 4 million coffee trees on 3100 acres of land. Talk about impressive and a ton of caffeine at your fingertips. It is said that the Island grows such incredible coffee because of the rich soil from the volcanoes and the mild climate is key for consistency. If you love coffee do not miss this place. When you walk in, you are greeted with friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff that can tell you all things coffee. I am a bit of a coffee connoisseur – very amateur, and this was like coffee nerdy heaven. Albeit, I was a bit lost with all the jargon, it was still awesome to learn and hear about. While you taste test a few of their signature blends, they walk you through the process and the flavor notes each blend is targetting. It is a really unique and awesome experience. They also have a cafe where you can purchase lattes and such for consuming while you walk around.
