Yo Pablo

Tacos are definitely one of the superior foods and should absolutely have their own food group. What is not to love about them – stuffed with meat + cheese + salsa….what more could you want?! Even the most basic tacos are good, but there are countless options to put between a tortilla. Yo Pablo is a local Oklahoma chain with a few locations across the state – OKC, Edmond, Norman. They are fairly new to the taco scene and have only been open for a few years, but they are definitely making a name for themselves. I live within walking distance of one of their locations, which is both amazing and dangerous. Having tacos this close makes it too easy to eat out when I don’t feel like cooking!

Yo Pablo has some creative, unique taco options such as Bulgogi, Blackened Salmon, and Fried Cauliflower. They also have a rotating monthly special to keep things interesting. Since I live so close, I’ve eaten here a few times and been able to try almost their entire taco menu. Their tacos are pretty good, but I will admit they are not my favorite in the city. I think there are better tasting tacos at better price points (Big Truck, Fuzzy’s, Mexican Radio to name a few). These tacos range from $4-$5 in price for a single taco and in my opinion they are not super stuffed with meat. For context, Big Truck tacos also range between $3.75-$5.25, but they have almost double the meat and the flavor is better. I would say this spot is good for a quick bite if you live super close, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here. If you are going to eat here, my recommendations for the tacos would be the Birria, Chicken Tinga or Sweet Chile Shrimp.
