Hunny Bunny Biscuits is a biscuit lovers paradise. Their entire menu features biscuits and they come in so many creative ways – you’ve got sweet, savory, sandwiches, plates and more! My goal is to work my way through their entire menu so I can try all of their yummy dishes. There is a location only about 5 minutes from my house, which makes it incredibly convenient to stop in. Their biscuits are so soft, fluffy and buttery. They are truly incredible by themselves and exceptional with the dishes they have created! The menu features some classics like Biscuits and Gravy, Fried Chicken Biscuit, Ham Bacon or Sausage and Egg Biscuit, or Biscuit with Jam. AS if those aren’t intriguing enough, they also have a Biscuit Eggs Benedict, Velvet Elvis (banana, peanut butter and bacon), No 7 (hot link, jalapeno cream cheese, caramelized onions), and Biscuit French Toast.
So far, I’ve tried the Benny, Basic Chick, Croque Madame, and Nashville. The Benny comes with open faced biscuits topped with ham (or you can swap for bacon), poached eggs and red-eye hollandaise. The eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was so creamy with a slight tang. I wish it had a bit more sauce because their biscuits are so thick it it can get a bit dry by the last few bites – the biscuit is still moist, but when you take a bit of just biscuit it can be hard to get down. Would give it a solid 8/10 though! The Basic Chicken is a biscuit sandwich featuring fried chicken and honey. I added pickles to mine for some extra crunch and tang. The chicken was juicy and moist and fried to perfection and it was such a large piece! For this one again, I have the same feedback – more honey or some sort of sauce would make this even better – it is a bit on the dry side and ketchup doesn’t really go with the flavors, but maybe some honey mustard or jam would really bring this to the next level. Another solid 8/10. The Croque Madame is another sandwich with ham, gruyere cheese, runny egg and mornay sauce – which is like a white bechamel sauce but with shredded cheese added. This one was probably my favorite. The flavor was delicious and had a perfect balance of creamy and saltiness. I also loved that this one was covered in a bit more sauce than the others mentioned before. DEfinitely a 9/10 – top contender on their menu. And that brings us to the last one – the Nashville. If you haven’t guessed it, it is a biscuit sandwich with fried chicken, hot sauce, honey mustard and pickles. Although I am not one for spicy, I really enjoyed this fried chicken version better than the Basic Chick since it had more flavors and textures going on. And the chicken was just as juicy and tender!
