One of my new favorite restaurants in Kent, WA is 108 Vietnamese! I actually stumbled upon it by complete accident. I was in the mood for a banh mi but wanted to try some place besides my usual spot. This was the closest one to me when I Google searched places nearby. I am so glad the universe sent me to this spot because it was sooo good! I initially went in under the assumption I would get a banh mi and have my craving satisfied, but when I saw the endless options on their menu, I knew I would be ordering too much food! There were so many things I wanted (and still want) to try. I tried to keep it simple – pork banh mi, beef banh mi, lemongrass beef vermicelli bowl, and been sprout pancake. I have eaten a lot of banh mi around Seattle and Kent and this my friends, was hands down the best one! There was much more filling than most spots and the meat was tender, juicy, and so flavorful. I mean, you can see from the pictures above that they really pack it full of goodness! It was already incredibly inexpensive – the sandwich was big enough to share and only $5. The lemongrass vermicelli bowl was also super tasty. It was loaded with meat, fresh veggies, noodles, and sauce. It is perfect for a light lunch in the summer when you want something flavorful, filling, but not leaving you feeling bloated and heavy. Check them out if you’re in the area!
