This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant known for delicious Turkish food that will absolutely have you struggling to decide what to get. Right when you walk in, you can’t miss their large, open, wood fired grill where so many meats and vegetables are getting charcoaled and rotated. It sets the tone immediately, and it smells incredible.
The staff is friendly, but I will say this place does get a bit chaotic. It took a while for us to even get our order placed, and we actually had a couple of dishes go missing. It was taking so long that we just made sure they weren’t on the bill and focused on what we did get. Honestly, once the food started arriving, it was easy to forget the wait.
The food we did have was delicious and so tasty. The flatbread was also incredibly fresh, so soft, warm, and fluffy. It was perfect for scooping everything up. One of my absolute favorites was the Eggplant Paste. It comes with tender eggplant and roasted bell peppers that create this wonderful harmony of flavor. It’s smoky, rich, and I could have eaten the whole plate myself. And you cannot skip the kebap here. Any of their kebap are a must try. The meats are so tender and juicy, you will want to keep going back for more bites even when you are completely stuffed. It’s that good.
Adana Grillhaus is loud, busy, and a little chaotic, but the food is worth it. Come hungry, be patient, and order a little bit of everything to share.
