Proper Bagel

Proper Bagel is located near downtown Nashville serving up some serious bagels. I am telling y’all, they do not play around! The space is open and light, with modern deli vibes going on. They are famous for their bagels and copious cream cheese options. Their menu features sandwiches – both breakfast and lunch options – as well as about a dozen flavored cream cheese options to choose from. The cream cheese flavors are incredibly mouthwatering and unique. With flavors like Jalapeno Bacon, Strawberry Shortcake, Cookie Dough, Fresh Veggie and so much more you might find yourself needing a few minutes to decide!

I grabbed a few options so I could try a variety. Here’s what I went with: Cinnamon Crunch Bagel with Birthday Cake Cream Cheese, Everything Bagel with Roasted Garlic & Rosemary Cream Cheese, and Gouda & Egg with Sausage on an Onion Egg Bagel. The bagels were so soft and chewy with a nice bite and texture on the outside. I opted to have mine all toasted and they were lightly browned, which is the perfect color! I was really impressed with their sausage patty – it was so thick and juicy and the gouda cheese added so much creaminess and a touch of saltiness. As for their cream cheese – Oh My Gosh. The absolute best cream cheese I have ever had. It was so creamy and thick, but also so light and soft. The Birthday Cake tasted similar to a cream cheese frosting and had a hint of sweetness to it. While the roasted garlic and rosemary was so savory and the flavors were really pronounced, which I appreciated!
