Alma

A bit outside of the city center in a quiet corner of Dublin, Alma is a small, cozy spot that’s big on flavor. This charming brunch spot is family-owned and operated, and it shows in the care and love that goes into every dish. With limited seating, Alma is a popular spot, and reservations are highly recommended to ensure you don’t miss out. But trust us, it’s worth the wait. The menu is a love letter to local produce with an Argentine twist, and the result is a delicious fusion of flavors that’s sure to delight.

During our visit, we ordered a few of Alma’s standout dishes, including the Alma’s Poached Eggs and Sweet Potato and Harissa Eggs. The Alma’s Poached Eggs were a highlight, featuring smashed avocado, garlic mushrooms, feta, and two perfectly runny eggs on toasted tartine sourdough. The combination of flavors and textures was absolute perfection, with the creamy avocado and tangy feta complementing the rich, runny eggs beautifully. The Sweet Potato and Harissa Eggs were another standout dish, featuring tender, roasted sweet potatoes on a bed of luscious, creamy whipped feta with a hint of tanginess. The dish was finished with a lemony kale salad and toasted sourdough, adding a nice burst of freshness to the rich, comforting sweet potatoes. The Harissa added just enough spice to the dish, but wasn’t overpowering, making it a great option for those who like a bit of heat without the burn. These were probably out favorite breakfast dishes of the entire trip.

To drink, we opted for a Dulce de Leche Latte and a Flat White. The Dulce de Leche Latte was a sweet treat, with a rich, creamy texture and a deep caramel flavor. The Flat White was smooth and rich, with a perfect balance of coffee and milk.

What sets Alma apart from other brunch spots is the love and care that goes into every dish. You can taste the difference in the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a great spot to grab brunch, Alma is a must-visit destination in Dublin.
