If you’re looking for a super cute spot to stroll around on a weekend in Vancouver, you absolutely have to go to Granville Island. The island itself is home to a bunch of unique local shops and has a beautiful waterfront that’s perfect for a walk. But the heart of the island is definitely the Granville Island Public Market.
Stepping inside the market is a feast for the senses. You’ll find so many incredible food stalls, local artists showcasing their work, and vendors selling fresh produce, meats, and cheeses. It’s such a wonderful place to just explore and try a bunch of different items. It would also be the perfect spot to grab some goodies for a picnic by the water or to find some beautiful ingredients to cook a special meal at home.
We had a great time wandering through the aisles, and the few food spots we tried were really good! We even found a piece of artwork from a local artist that we just had to buy to take home with us as a souvenir.
I also felt like the prices were really fair, especially for a popular market like this that definitely draws in some large crowds.
I would highly recommend checking out Granville Island and getting lost in the Public Market. It’s such a fun way to spend a weekend afternoon, and you’re sure to find something special.
