Eggtastic

While exploring all the food stalls inside Vancouver’s Crystal Mall, I stumbled upon the perfect little shop for an afternoon treat: Eggtastic! They serve up delicious bubble waffles and a huge variety of bubble teas.

I popped in, and one of the first things I loved was their self-service kiosk for ordering. As someone who can be a bit indecisive, it was so nice to be able to take my time exploring the menu without feeling rushed. Plus, if you’re ever just not in the mood to talk to anyone, it’s an absolute dream.

I have to confess, I didn’t get a single picture of the waffles I ordered, because they were so good they didn’t even make it back to my hotel room! I actually grabbed waffles and tea from here two days in a row, and both times, they were devoured immediately. I tried the Matcha Portuguese Egg Tart Waffle, and it was incredible. It was so creamy and delicious, with little pockets of silky egg tart filling baked right into the waffle. I loved the matcha flavor, which was subtle but still very present. I also tried their classic bubble waffle, and the waffle itself was just so good – perfectly soft and chewy on the inside, with a slight crunch on the outside, all served up warm and fresh.

For my drink, I tried a Mango Tea with Crystal Jelly. It was a combination I’d never had before, but I instantly fell in love with it. I was craving something fresh and light, and the sweet mango flavor really hit the spot. I also really enjoyed the texture of the Crystal Jelly!
