Il Baretto

When you’re running around Rome, taking in all the incredible sights, sometimes you just need a quick, classic Italian pick-me-up. We found just that at Il Baretto.

This is a typical Italian cafe, the kind you find on countless street corners. It’s no-frills and exactly what you would expect from a local coffee bar, offering pastries and espresso to keep you going. We popped in for a quick espresso after a long morning of sightseeing, and I’m so glad we did.

Let me tell you, the espresso here was so smooth and rich—it was perfection in a tiny cup. We also decided to grab a pistachio sfogliatelle to go with it. To be honest, it was not my favorite pastry I had on the trip.

But hey, you can’t win them all! The main mission was accomplished. If you need a reliable, delicious espresso to keep you going, Il Baretto gets the job done. At least the espresso was good
