While there are a few of these cafes across the city, we had a small one located just around the corner from our hotel, and it quickly became our go-to for a morning coffee and pastry. This is a super simple spot with no frills, and that’s precisely what we loved about it. It felt authentically Italian, with just a few locals standing at the bar, and the whole place had wonderfully chill vibes.
We kept our order simple: two cappuccinos and two slices of a pound cake, one chocolate and one marbled. Let’s talk about the coffee, because it was perfect. The espresso was so smooth and creamy, with those bold, rich flavors that are exactly how Italian espresso should be. It was a fantastic start to the day.
The cakes were good, too. We found them to be a little on the dry side, but they were absolutely perfect for dunking into the warm, foamy cappuccino, which instantly made them delicious.
