Vancouver Eats

Vancouver, Canada is one of those quintessential places to visit. It is so charming and you get a little bit of everything – big city feels, mountains & trees, water views, and so much more. The winter also gets cold enough for skiing and snowboarding, while the summers are warm enough to spend time near the ocean. Vancouver is also a hidden gem when it comes to the foodie scene. I feel like so many people travel here for the mountains and nature, but fail to really dive into the food scene. In my opinion, Vancouver should absolutely be on the top of the list to visit. It is also an “easy” city. And by that I mean it is fairly relaxed and not too big. As of 2025, there are 12 Michelin starred restaurants in Vancouver plus over a dozen gourmet bib spots! Gourmet Bib is reserved for those restaurants that aren’t at the Michelin Star level, but that are still very good and should be tried. One of my other favorite things about Vancouver is the diversity in the food scene, especially the Asian food. From ramen to pho to kbbq to sushi to hot pot…they literally have it all. If you find yourself in Vancouver for a trip, check out the spots below. Of the places below, my top 3 would be: Nemesis (an incredible brunch and coffee spot); Anh and Chi (a gourmet bib restaurant for incredible, flavorful vietnamese dishes); and Horin Ramen (the best ramen I have eaten outside of Japan). While our trip was fairly short and we only had one full day to explore due to the work schedule, there is so much to do and see in Vancouver. If you love skiing or hiking, depending on the weather, there are some great areas for this!
