Sorbillos

Located in the central area of Torino, Italy, Sorbillos is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to indulge in delicious Neapolitan-style pizzas. This famous restaurant, originating from Naples, is a gem that offers a truly authentic Italian culinary experience. With its convenient location, you can easily fit it into your sightseeing itinerary and enjoy a satisfying meal in the heart of the city. Before heading to Sorbillos, it’s a good idea to check if reservations are necessary, especially if you’re planning to visit during peak hours. However, I found that for lunch, it wasn’t necessary to book in advance. The restaurant is run by the renowned Sorbillo family, one of the oldest pizza-making families in Naples. With their expertise and passion for pizza, you can be sure that every pie that comes out of the oven is a masterpiece.

During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying some of their seasonal offerings, including the Stuffed Zucchini Flowers. These delicate flowers were stuffed with a creamy ricotta mixture and lightly fried to perfection. The combination of crispy exterior and warm, creamy interior was absolute heaven.

Of course, no visit to Sorbillos would be complete without trying one of their famous pizzas. I opted for the classic Margherita, and it did not disappoint. The dough was pillowy and chewy, with a perfectly cooked crust that added texture to each bite. The sauce and cheese were balanced to perfection, allowing the flavors to shine through.

What truly sets Sorbillos apart is the love and care that goes into every dish. From the city’s historic center is a must-visit destination for pizza lovers. Don’t be afraid to try new things and enjoy the experience. And remember, when eating pizza like a local, grab your fork and knife and dig in! This is one of my favorite pizza spots from our Italian trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Neapolitan pizza experience.
