Porto Di Savona

Located in the heart of Torino, Italy, Porto di Savona is a historic restaurant that offers a truly unforgettable dining experience. This charming spot is perfect for people-watching, and its location makes it an ideal spot to take in the sights and sounds of the city. But what really sets Porto di Savona apart is its commitment to showcasing the best of the region’s cuisine.

One of the best ways to experience the local flavors is by opting for one of their set menus. The Torino set menu, priced at 45 Euro, and the Piedmont set menu, priced at 40 Euro, both offer an incredible value. Each menu comes with four courses, including antipasto, pasta, a main course, and dessert, giving you the opportunity to try a variety of traditional dishes.

The pasta dishes are a highlight, with options like Tajin, an egg-based pasta in a creamy sauce, and Agnolotti, small stuffed pastas that are a specialty of the region. For your main course, you might enjoy the Brasato Al Barolo, a rich beef dish braised in Barolo wine, or the Vitello Tonnato, a classic veal dish served with a creamy tuna sauce. No meal is complete without dessert, and Porto di Savona’s Bonet is a must-try. This custard-like pudding is flavored with caramel and chocolate, making it the perfect way to round off your meal.

While we thoroughly enjoyed the historic atmosphere and the variety of dishes offered, the food unfortunately didn’t quite live up to our expectations flavor-wise. Some of the dishes lacked a certain depth of flavor, which was a bit disappointing. Despite this, Porto di Savona is still a great option for those looking to try traditional Piedmontese cuisine in a charming setting. If you’re a fan of rich, bold flavors, you may want to consider other options, but if you’re interested in trying local specialties in a historic atmosphere, Porto di Savona is worth a visit. Buon appetito!
