La Malontina

Tucked away on a quiet street in Madrid, La Malontina is a tiny restaurant that’s big on charm. With only 16 seats, this cozy and modern spot is the perfect place to experience elevated Spanish cuisine in an intimate setting. Don’t let its small size fool you – La Malontina is a gem that’s worth seeking out. The restaurant’s unassuming location means you might easily miss it if you don’t know where to look, so be sure to save this spot for your Madrid itinerary. And don’t wait too long to make a reservation – we were lucky to snag a last-minute table, but we highly recommend booking ahead to ensure a spot.

The menu at La Malontina changes constantly, reflecting the freshest seasonal ingredients and the chef’s creative vision. For our dinner, we started with a bottle of crisp white wine and a selection of small plates, including Jamon Croquettes, Grilled Peppers, and Clams in Garlic Sauce. Each dish was expertly prepared and full of flavor. For our mains, I opted for the Pistachio Pasta, which was creamy, nutty, and rich – absolutely incredible. My husband’s Baked Cod with Potatoes was also a highlight, with perfectly cooked fish and tender, flavorful, crispy potatoes.

Overall, La Malontina is one of our favorite dinner spots in Madrid. The combination of delicious food, charming atmosphere, and excellent service makes it a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. If you’re a foodie or just looking for a special night out, be sure to add La Malontina to your Madrid itinerary.
