Tapas & Mas

If you’ve been following my tapas spot reviews, you know the warning: ask about portions! And if you’re new here, let this be your warning: tapas portions in Madrid can be generous, to say the least.

We stumbled into Tapas y Mas during a late lunch stroll around the city, eager to try some classic tapas dishes. Thinking we were ordering small, shareable plates, we were caught off guard by the massive servings that arrived at our table. Let’s just say we won’t be finishing those plates anytime soon! We tried our best, but it was just too much food.

Despite the surprise portion sizes, the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the Croquettes, which were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The Patatas Bravas were spicy and smoky, with two sauces that added a nice depth of flavor. The Pan Con Tomate was simple but flavorful, and the Manchego cheese was rich and creamy.

The verdict? Tapas y Mas is a great spot for tapas lovers, but be sure to ask for small portions unless you’re feeding a crowd. We would definitely go back and try more of their offerings, but next time we’ll be more mindful of the serving sizes.

If you’re looking for a authentic tapas experience in Madrid, Tapas y Mas is definitely worth a visit. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you about the portions!
