Mune is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Madrid, and I make it a point to visit whenever I’m in the city. With two locations on opposite sides of the city, it’s easy to get to no matter where you’re staying. Both locations have a similar vibe, featuring bold, modern accents with exposed brick and wooden accents that create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
What sets Mune apart is its focus on sharing and family – the idea that food is a time to come together with loved ones. The flavors and dishes are inspired by Beirut, and every bite is a testament to the richness and diversity of Middle Eastern cuisine.
There are a few dishes that are absolute must-tries: the Hummus, Muhammara, Labneh, and Mutabal are all delicious starters, and the Fatush is a fresh and flavorful salad that’s perfect for sharing. The Mixed Grill plate is a great option for those who want to try a little bit of everything – it comes with chicken, beef tenderloin, kofta, rice, hummus, and fries. Don’t forget to add a side of garlic sauce and harissa for an extra kick.
While we usually can’t make it to dessert (we’re always too full!), I highly recommend the dessert flight, which allows you to try a few different sweet treats. Given the quality of the rest of the menu, I can only imagine how incredible the desserts must be.
Mune has a way of making you feel like you’re part of the family, and the passion and love that goes into every dish is palpable. If you’re looking for a truly authentic and delicious Middle Eastern dining experience in Madrid, look no further than Mune.
