If you’re a taco lover like me, you’re in for a treat. Takos Al Pastor in Madrid is hands down the best taco spot I’ve ever had outside of Mexico City. This no-frills taqueria serves up authentic Mexican-style tacos that will transport you straight to the streets of Mexico.
We were lucky enough to stumble upon this gem during our week-long trip to Madrid, and we ended up going back every single day. In fact, it’s become a tradition for us to visit Takos Al Pastor whenever we’re in Madrid. The line can get long during peak hours, but don’t let that deter you – the line moves quickly, and the service is lightning-fast. You order at the counter, grab a table, and before you know it, your food is in front of you.
The best part? The prices are ridiculously affordable, and they don’t sacrifice flavor or fillings for the sake of a cheap meal. The Al Pastor tacos are my personal favorite, with tender pork, onions, cilantro, and pineapple all coming together in perfect harmony. But the steak and chicken tacos are also delicious, and the Alambre is a great option for those who want to try a little bit of everything. This dish is essentially a platter of taco toppings grilled to perfection, served with tortillas on the side, allowing you to build your own tacos to your liking.
Don’t forget to wash it all down with a cold Jarritos or a refreshing Margarita. The combination is absolute perfection.
If you’re a taco lover like me, Takos Al Pastor is a must-visit spot in Madrid. The authentic flavors, fast service, and affordable prices make it a standout in the city’s food scene. I’ll be back for more, and I know you will be too.
