Casa Macareno

If you’re planning a trip to Madrid and only have time to dine at one place from my list, make it Casa Macareno. This incredible restaurant is a favorite in the neighborhood, and for good reason. The food is absolutely delicious, with traditional Spanish cuisine elevated to new heights with creative flavors and expert preparation. We were lucky enough to grab an early table without a reservation, but shortly after we sat down, the restaurant was packed wall to wall. If you’re planning to dine here, I highly recommend making a reservation to avoid the wait.

The menu at Casa Macareno is a love letter to Spanish cuisine, with dishes that are both familiar and innovative. We tried a few of their signature dishes, including the truffle Jamon croquettes, patatas bravas, and grilled tenderloin. The truffle Jamon croquettes were a highlight of the meal, with a crispy exterior giving way to a soft and melty interior. The patatas bravas were also a standout, with a wonderful tomato sauce and truffle mayo that complemented the crispy potatoes perfectly. And the grilled tenderloin was cooked to perfection, with a tender and juicy texture that just melted in our mouths.

Casa Macareno is a must-visit restaurant in Madrid, with incredible food and a lively atmosphere. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a great meal, this place is sure to impress.
