If you’re looking for a vibrant and Instagram-worthy spot to grab some Italian food in Madrid, Bresca might be the place for you. With multiple locations around the city, this restaurant boasts a fun and quirky atmosphere that’s sure to stand out. The location we visited was a bit of a mixed bag, though. We arrived a little early and the place was pretty empty, which might have been a factor in the overall experience. That being said, the space itself is definitely aesthetically pleasing, with bright colors and a lively vibe.
When it comes to the food, I have to admit that I was a bit underwhelmed. We ordered the Tagliolini Friggione, which was a pasta dish with a tomato sauce, chili pepper, smoked pancetta, and cream. While the pasta was pretty good, I wasn’t blown away by the flavors. The dish felt a bit gimmicky, and I wasn’t getting the authentic Italian taste that I was hoping for.
The real letdown was the Black Cheesy pizza, which featured a charcoal crust and a blend of cheese with tomato sauce. For me, the pizza was too heavy and lacked flavor, which was a disappointment. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, but I wasn’t impressed with the food at Bresca. Maybe it is spot for some cocktails and good views.
