Salto Alto

Tucked away in a prime location between Las Ramblas and Sagrada Familia, Salto Alto is a great local tapas spot that’s perfect for recharging with some wine and eats while exploring the city. This spot is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, and for good reason.

The service at Salto Alto is top notch, with friendly and attentive staff who are happy to help you navigate the menu and make recommendations. I stopped by for a late lunch and was impressed by the variety of tapas options available. I opted for a few of my favorites, including Jamon Iberico, Grilled Shrimp, and Pan Con Tomate. Each dish was full of flavor and expertly prepared, with Jamon Iberico being particularly delicious. The Grilled Shrimp were cooked to perfection (just know that these will come full head on), and the Pan Con Tomate was simple yet satisfying. To wash it all down, I enjoyed a refreshing Sangria while people watching from the outdoor seating area.

What I loved most about Salto Alto was the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to take a break from sightseeing and enjoy some delicious food and drink. The location is also convenient, making it an easy stop on your way to or from some of Barcelona’s most famous landmarks.

Overall, Salto Alto is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for great tapas and a fun atmosphere. With its excellent service, delicious food, and perfect location, it’s a great place to recharge and refuel while exploring the city.
