Tucked away in the heart of Barcelona, L’Olivera is a local’s paradise for great tapas and wine. This bustling spot comes alive in the evening, with locals and visitors alike flocking to enjoy freshly made tapas dishes and a wide selection of wines.
The tapas at L’Olivera are truly exceptional, with each dish carefully crafted to showcase the flavors and ingredients of Spanish cuisine. We were lucky enough to try some of our favorite tapas dishes, including the 3 Sauce Potatoes, which were smothered in delicious bravas, aioli, and mojo sauces. The Iberian ham croquettes were a highlight, with a crispy exterior giving way to a delicate, flavorful filling. These are definitely one of my all-time favorite tapas dishes, and L’Olivera’s version did not disappoint. The Tomato Bread was another standout, with fresh, juicy tomatoes piled high on crusty bread. This is an absolute must-try dish, and L’Olivera’s version is truly elite. The Meatballs were also a hit, with a crispy exterior giving way to a juicy, tender interior. The delicious sauces added an extra layer of flavor to the dish, and we enjoyed every bite. To finish off the meal, we tried the Catalan Creme Brulee, which was creamy, tangy, and utterly divine. The sugar crust on top added a wonderful textural element to the dish, and we were all fighting for the last bite.
Overall, L’Olivera is a must-visit spot for anyone looking to experience the best of Barcelona’s tapas scene. With its delicious food, lively atmosphere, and extensive wine list, it’s the perfect spot for evening drinks, light dishes, or a full meal.
