Le Paris Rome

Located in the 17th District of Paris, Le Paris Rome is a popular spot for lunch, drinks, and site seeing. The restaurant’s location and classic French dishes make it a great choice for tourists looking to experience a traditional Parisian meal. However, our experience was marred by less-than-ideal service. Despite our efforts to speak some French and make an effort to connect with the staff, we were met with rudeness and a general sense of disinterest. We were seated all the way in the back of the restaurant and forgotten about, which made it difficult to get our needs met.

The food, however, was a different story. We tried the Croque Monsieur, Escargot, and the Steak with Potatoes, all of which were pretty good. The Croque Monsieur was rich and creamy with a perfectly runny egg, the Escargot was tender and flavorful, and the Steak with Potatoes was cooked to perfection. The food is definitely on the heavier side, so make sure you plan a walk after.

While the food was enjoyable, the service was a major letdown. As a tourist, it’s understandable that you might not speak fluent French, and a little kindness and patience from the staff would go a long way. Unfortunately, Le Paris Rome fell short in this department. If you’re a seasoned Parisian or someone who doesn’t mind a little attitude with their meal, you might enjoy Le Paris Rome. However, if you’re a tourist looking for a welcoming and friendly dining experience, you might want to look elsewhere.
