If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Dublin, look no further than Shouk, a vibrant and creative Middle Eastern restaurant that’s sure to delight your taste buds. This popular spot is always packed, so be sure to make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment. While it’s possible to walk in, it’s best for singles or couples, as larger parties may struggle to find a table.
The menu at Shouk is a true reflection of the Middle East’s rich culinary heritage, with a colorful array of dishes to choose from. We opted for the Small Mezze Platter, which was an excellent decision. This generous platter comes with a variety of dips and salads, including falafel, hummus, pita tahini, zhug, and babaganush, accompanied by four salads of your choice. We selected the carrot salad, aubergine salad, cauliflower salad, and the herb salad, and were blown away by the flavors and textures.
This platter alone was enough for two people, but we couldn’t resist trying more of Shouk’s delicious offerings. Next up were the arayes, perfectly seasoned and charred Lebanese-style meat pastries that were utterly addictive. We also indulged in the chicken skewer pita, which was stuffed with tender grilled chicken thighs, juicy tomatoes, crunchy onion, fresh parsley, and topped with tangy pickled onions.
The service at Shouk was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively and bustling. Whether you’re a foodie, a Middle Eastern cuisine enthusiast, or just looking for a new dining experience, Shouk is a must-visit destination. Probably our favorite dining spot from our trip to Dublin.
