Mystic Pizza

Okay, so I know this isn’t technically in Rhode Island, but it is close enough and you can get there from RI in like 45ish minutes from the middle of RI. If you are old enough (like me) then you have probably seen, or at least heard of, the movie Mystic Pizza. It came out in 1988, so it is pretty old but its very cute so watch it if you haven’t. The movie was based on and filmed at Mystic Pizza (along with other spots around CT, but its plot is based on 3 waitresses that work at the restaurant). For me this spot is just fun and nostalgic, is the pizza the best you’re ever going to have? No. But it is super cheesy and ooey-gooey and has a decent flavor. Mystic is also just the cutest seaside town to walk around – so many local shops and a beautiful waterfront! That alone is worth the trip.
