PVDonuts

This little donut shop opened after I moved away from Rhode Island, of course, and it took me YEARS to be able to visit it! It also seemed that every time I came back to visit, it was closed or sold out before I could make it there. Unlike Allie’s Donuts (that are iconic btw), PVDonuts is a speciality donut shop with crazy creations and unique flavors. This place also gained popularity quickly, becoming a viral donut shop with long, long lines. They also rotate their menu regularly, so just because you tried a flavor or saw one, doesn’t mean it’ll stick around! You’ll find so many flavors and options on their menu from brioche to filled to cake to vegan and even flourless! I headed to the shop early in order to secure these delicious, hard to get your hands on, donuts! I of course saw so many flavors I wanted and I wanted to try all of them, but in the end I settled on 4 – Dunkaroo, Coffee Milk, French Toast, and Chocolate Espresso. The donuts were outrageous – so flavorful and light and surprisingly not too sweet! It was too hard to pick a favorite and I would probably eat all of them again, but the Dunkaroo was super delish with that vanilla frosting and rainbow sprinkles. The Chocolate Espresso though was also unreal – the filling was super light, almost whipped cream like but somehow creamier and had subtle espresso notes through our and the brioche donut itself was magical and fluffy. I really loved all of them and would go back here in a heartbeat. My suggestion is to get there early though so you don’t miss out!
