Brickley’s

Located in the super cute downtown Wakefield, Rhode Island you’ll find Brickley’s Ice Cream Shop that has been scooping cones since 1995. They make all of their ice cream in house, by hand and have over 30 flavors! They also make all their waffle cones fresh and when you walk into the shop you will be mesmerized by the smell! Going to college in Rhode Island just 10 minutes away from Wakefield meant the start and end of the school year brought Brickley’s ice cream nights almost every day of the week. During my time in college, they only opened during the summer months (so like April-October). Since Rhode Island is a summer hot spot destination, they still are only open for a short season, so if you are wanting to try their ice cream, plan accordingly! Their menu also has so many unique flavors and options it is so hard to choose! My personal favorites over the years are: Strawberry, Coffee Oreo, Coffee Chip, Vanilla, Butter Brickley and Sweet Cream. Their ice cream is so creamy and rich and what always surprises me, no matter how many scoops I’ve enjoyed, their flavors are so good! The ice cream is loaded with mix-ins and the flavors are always on point and so delicious. Like the Coffee Oreo tastes so much like coffee, but not in a bitter way, and has so many Oreo pieces in it. No matter what flavor you choose though, you are sure to have some of the best ice cream you’ve ever tried.
