Another wonderful bakery and coffee shop in Boston with multiple locations across the city! I went to the Back Bay location a few times during my trip since my hotel was super close and the coffee here was delish, plus their pastries were fire! Not only do they have a full pastry case, but you can find sandwiches, salads, and some other savory dishes to enjoy. During my several trips there, I was able to try a few different items. Here’s what I tried: Croissant, Breakfast Egg Sandwich, Iced Latte with house-made Salted Caramel Sauce, Cappuccino, and a Savory Scone.
The Salted Caramel Sauce that they make in-house for their coffee had me in a chokehold and I could not get enough of it! It was so creamy with a touch of saltiness and not overly sweet. The only downside is how thick it was, it didn’t mix super well with the iced latte – I feel like it would have mixed better in a hot latte but I am an iced coffee girly. The croissant and scone were both super buttery and flakey, just in different ways. I normally don’t like scones because they are so freaking dry, but this one was actually not too dry and had a nice crumb – definitely plenty of butter was used here and it shows. The breakfast sandwich was also super delicious – it might have been $10.50, but it was thiccccc with souffle eggs, bacon, tomatoes, arugula, dijon, and melty cheese (it was so good it didn’t even get a photo lol). Overall though Flour is an exceptional spot for coffee or breakfast when you need to grab and go! Check out their menu here.
