This meal didn’t even make it to the photos because it was SO GOOD! I didn’t actually visit the restaurant, I had to order due to a work commitment (which is why I was in SF to begin with) but I am so glad this place was on DoorDash and I got to try it. This restaurant is a fusion of Mexican street food and Filipino flavors and it absolutely works. You’ll find some very classic California Mexican items on here like loaded fries, street tacos, and burritos; but the heart and soul of the food is inspired by Filipino flavors like Ube, coconut, and adobo. You’ll find tacos, burritos, nachos, fries, rice and salad options on their menu but each option is still super simple and fresh. My husband and I both ordered burritos because we felt they would travel best – I grabbed their California Burrito with Tocino and my husband grabbed the Tosilog Burrito. We also ordered Ube Churros. The California Burrito comes with your choice of meat (I ordered the Tocino), fries, cheese, sour cream, guac, and pico all wrapped up in a large tortilla. OH MY GOSH.. it was even more delicious than I could have imagined! The flavors were so rich and vibrant and the meat was incredibly tender and soft. The Tosilog Burrito comes with Filipino sweet pork, adobo garlic rice, tomatoes and a fried egg – almost like a traditional Filipino breakfast plate wrapped in a tortilla. It was also phenomenal and had so much depth of flavor – sweet, salty, tangy, and garlicky for an unbelievable bite. The last thing we tried were those Ube Churros that were sprinkled with crispy shredded coconut. Even though these had to travel, they were still incredibly crunchy and warm! The exterior had a wonderful crunch, while the inside was so fluffy and warm. The Ube swirled dipping sauce was also unbelievable. Ube is a purple yum so it is a bit sweet and nutty. A must must must try spot if you are in San Francisco! You can check out their full menu here.
