Alright, we’ve all seen Erewhon and the ridiculousness that it is – I might get hate for that but it is a bit ridiculous how much this grocery store charges. Yes, it is in LA, but why are we paying over $20 for a smoothie? While in LA, I of course had to check it out and sure, some of the stuff was actually pretty good, but not for that price tag. I did get the Coconut Cloud Smoothie (a whopping $19) which is made with organic almond milk, pineapple, banana, avocado, almond butter, coconut cream, blue spirulina, and vanilla collagen. Yes, there was a lot of stuff packed in there and yes it was actually delicious; but I would not make it a regular order – mostly because my bank account couldn’t handle it lol. For the food, I picked up a lot of various items – Hummus ($13.50/lb) + Pita Chips ($9.50), Spicy Salmon Onigiri ($5.99), Sushi Sandwich ($21.99), Kale Brussel Caesar ($20/lb), Matcha Overnight Oats ($10.25), and a Combo Plate ($32/lb).

It really was shocking how much everything cost – I think with everything I got out of there at around $120-$130 and it didn’t even fill up an entire bag. I honestly couldn’t even imagine how much it would cost to do my grocery shopping there. My favorite thing was the smoothie – it was actually very creamy and smooth with a nice fruity flavor. My least favorite was the sushi sandwich. I had seen this ALL over TikTok and Instagram and it looked so freaking good. Unfortunately, it wasn’t made to order, so the rice was cold and the nori and outside was soggy when it should have been crispy.. I think if it had been made fresh it would have been really good. The hummus and pita were fine, but nothing you can’t just get at Trader Joes for a fraction of the price. I will say, the kale brussel Caesar was surprisingly delightful and fresh. I thought with that combination I would feel like a cow chewing, but they managed to make it delicate and soft, but not soggy. The combo plate was also pretty tasty – I actually grabbed a little bit of beef and some salmon with a side of broccolini.

Honestly, if you have a lot of money then sure this place is an organic paradise. But if you’re just a regular person like me then yeah it’s worth trying a few things and seeing it, but don’t waste all your money there. I’d recommend a smoothie for sure!
