You’ve probably heard of this sandwich stop that originally started in Florence and has grown in popularity with locations all across the world now. They gained popularity with their incredible sandwiches with thin, crispy bread, and piled high with tasty toppings. Luckily for me, they had a location in Milan and while there was a fairly long line, it actually went super fast. I also did go at like peak lunch time, but I only waited for about 20 minutes before I ordered. The menu is a bit overwhelming, but in a good way, there are just so many delicious combinations to choose from. I ended up going for The Paradiso, which is one of their more popular combinations. In between crispy and fluffy schiacciata, they spread house-made pistachio cream, layer on freshly sliced mortadella, creamy stracciatella, and finish it off with crushed pistachios. It is the ultimate combination with so many flavors and textures. Seriously, one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten and every time I am in Italy, this is absolutely a stop on the list. You can take a peak at their menu here. If you aren’t near a location, try making one of their combinations at home!
