Hana Don

Looking for sushi and super fresh sashimi? Check out Hana Don, Toronto’s premium sushi and donburi restaurant. The inside is pretty small, with limited seating so it is best to make a reservation so you don’t miss out. My husband and I found this spot just down from our hotel when we wanted something delicious but on the lighter side. For us, sushi will always be a favorite dinner that always hits the spot. We got super lucky that we were eating on the later side, so there were open tables for us to be seated immediately. Hana Don is known for their quality fish and seafood. Their menu is artfully crafted to bring you the best of the best I from sushi rolls to sashimi bowls and more!

For ordering, I opted for sushi and my husband opted for a donburi bowl. I ordered a salmon hand roll and added avocado and the cajun salmon roll. The cajun salmon roll had crab meat, mango, cucumbers and avocado on the outside with seared cajun salmon, fried shallots, green onions, and a cajun honey mustard sauce on top. It was unbelievable. The salmon in both was so fresh and buttery. If you have never had high quality sushi grade salmon you are truly missing out – it is unlike anything you’ll taste! My husband ordered the Bara Don bowl with a quail egg on top. This bowl came with sushi rice, cucumbers, tamago and an assortment of freshly prepared raw fish. There was so much fish in this bowl – absolutely a great value and the fish was so fresh. Definitely a sushi and seafood spot that you want to try.
