Tim Hortons is the Canadian equivalent of Dunkin Donuts and people rave about it. Tim Hortons actually used to have locations across the US, especially in areas that border Canada, but since the rise of Starbucks and Dunkin, non-competes now exist and you’ll only find them concentrated in the Northeast. While I am not the biggest donut fan and I prefer espresso to drip coffee, I knew I still needed to grab something from Tim’s or my trip to Toronto would not be complete. I grabbed a box of Timbits, which are their donut holes, and a frozen cappuccino. The donut holes were good, but nothing to ride home about. But the cappuccino was surprisingly better than I expected.
So is Tim Horton’s the best donut + coffee shop? absolutely not; but its a great lil morning pick me up when you need something quick!
