If you go to Canada and don’t get poutine then did you even go? Smoke’s is a shop that is dedicated to all things poutine and while they do have a few other items on their menu, their main focus is poutine. They have traditional poutine and then all sorts of crazy combinations that are definitely anything but traditional. Upon arriving in Toronto, this was the first place I stopped because it was dinner time and I knew I had to get some poutine during my trip. While there were so many delicious looking options, I ended up just trying the classic which comes with fries, Quebec cheese curds, and made in house gravy. Honestly, poutine is so underrated and I wish more places in the US served this because it is such a great combination. You’ve got the crispy, salty fries, warm, flavorful gravy, and soft, creamy cheese curds. It is the ultimate comfort food and while I couldn’t eat it every day, this would absolutely be in my monthly rotation. Overall Smoke’s was a good place to try some Canadian Poutine to satisfy that craving.
