Looking for hot dogs in Chicago but not a huge fan of the classic Chicago dog? THIS is the spot for you – Devil Dawgs has a fun menu with delicious combinations and flavors. They of course have a Chicago Dog on the menu if that is your vibe, but if not, you’ll find plenty of delicious alternatives. I actually popped in here 3 times on my trip – 1) because it was so tasty and 2) it was super close to where I was staying. I tried the following: It’s Not a Corn Dawg, Icelandic Dawg, and the Coney Cheese Dog. I also grabbed tater tots and a side of the Devil Sauce, which was like a creamy, tangy sauce that I could have put on everything. The actual sausages were probably my favorite (sorry Portillo’s); they had a deep, smokey flavor and a perfect bite/snap to them. They also seemed to hold all the toppings better and were just perfect. Definitely don’t sleep on this place if you need a delicious dog!
