Okay, so yes McDonald’s has officially re-released their famous snack wraps, but I promise you, making these at home is the move and they are WAY BETTER..plus I heard that the McD’s version lacks chicken and nobody needs that in this world. This makes such a quick, and easy meal and everything I used was premade, it just requires a little cooking time and assembly. I use a frozen chicken tender from the brand Bare and prefer cooking mine in the air fryer to keep it crispy; but you could use the oven or stovetop as well. Great for lunch or a snack when you are limited on time but don’t want to hit the drive through again.
Try these and you’ll say McDonald’s who!
Serves: 1
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Total Time: 15 Minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 Flour Tortillas
- 3-4 Chicken Tenders, Your Favorite Brand – I use Frozen “Bare” Brand
- 1/4 Cup Shredded Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Shredded Lettuce
- 1/4 Cup Cherry Tomatoes, Sliced
- Special Sauce – I use Kinder Chicken Sauce
- 1 Green Onions, Finely Diced
To Make:
- First, we need to make the chicken tenders if you are using frozen, which I totally think you should because it makes it so easy. I like to heat mine using the air fryer so they stay crispy, but you could also use the oven or stove top – or even microwave. Cook the chicken tenders according to the package directions for.
- While the tenders are cooking, let’s get the wraps ready. Take a tortilla and spread on whatever sauce you are using (ranch, buffalo, or special sauce). Top with half of the shredded cheese and then set aside until the chicken is finished. Repeat with the second wrap.
- When the chicken is finished, place 1-2 tenders per tortilla directly on the cheese – this will get the cheese a little melty. Top each wrap with half of the lettuce, tomatoes, and green onions (if using). I also like to drizzle more sauce on top! And Enjoy.
