Moritz

Located inside the Dekalb Market in Brooklyn, NY you’ll find Mortiz. These guys are owned by Kotti, which is the Berlin Doner Kebab shop (also located inside Dekalb). While Kotti is very specific to Berlin dishes, Moritz encompasses a wide variety of classic German dishes. You’ll find sausages, schnitzel, pretzels, and a variety of fries on their menu. Their goal is to have fast-casual dining with delicious food that keeps you coming back. Most of their plates can be eaten on the go, which makes it a perfect pick for a quick lunch – especially since seating is a bit hard to come by at Dekalb Market.

We grabbed an order of fries and the chicken wrap. For the true experience though make sure to grab a side of mayo and curry ketchup for the fries – in Germany they call this red-white! The Chicken Wrap came with crispy fried chicken schnitzel with pickled red cabbage, lettuce and a creamy aioli all wrapped in an extra large tortilla. This was one of the best things I have ever had! The crispy, juicy chicken with the fresh pickled cabbage and that creamy, garlicky sauce – it is absolutely what dreams are made of! While we didn’t branch out to any more of their dishes, I would highly recommend getting this wrap.

Check them out when you are in need of a delicious bite in Brooklyn!
