Cafe Kitsune

An unsuspecting good coffee shop inside a fashion brand. This spot is synonymous with the luxurious fashion brand, Maison. I popped in here after walking around Brooklyn and in desperate need of a hot cup of coffee. While this shop and brand is world-wide, I very much appreciated the local variety they offer. I of course had to try the Black & White, an homage to the famous black & white cookies everyone in New York knows and loves! The coffee was smooth and silky with a hint of cocoa. The espresso was incredibly smooth and so flavorful. Just like their luxury clothes, this coffee was truly luxurious. It is also one of the most expensive coffees I have ever had….at around $8 I was a bit sticker shocked. Would I go back or seek this spot out? Probably not…there are so many delicious coffee shops around that have more of a local vibe and support smaller businesses (no shame if that isn’t your thing, I mean I love me a good Starbucks from time to time). While New York is very expensive, I do think this coffee is a bit overpriced for what it really is. Delicious and rich, but probably not worth it. Check it out though and decide if you think it is worth it!
