Located in Brooklyn, NY inside the Dekalb Market is this incredible shop. If you like pierogis, which if you don’t like them then idk what you’re doing, you have to check this spot out. All of their pierogies are made in house from scratch and they have been featured in tons of food magazines for the deliciousness that they bring. They offer meat, vegetarian, and vegan options for the pierogies and they have a few other classic menu items like borscht and kielbasa! I grabbed the Pierogi Sampler Plate which is perfect for indecisive people like myself. This allows you to try all of their flavors so you can see which one you love best. Here’s what ya get: 2 Potato & Cheese, 2 Mushroom & Sauerkraut, and 2 Meat (which has beef cheeks and pork butt inside). They top it off with caramelized onions, sour cream, crispy bacon and fresh herbs! The pierogi was so warm and tender and I loved the toppings and sour cream – it added some depth, texture and freshness! Pierogi can be on the heavy side and are typically soft, so adding these toppings really gave it depth and dimension to the dish. It was hard to choose a favorite but you can’t go wrong with the Potato and Cheese – such a classic! The Mushroom ones were also phenomenal! Do not skip this place – you will be in love after the first bite!
