Berlin Eats

Berlin is one of the most underrated European cities to visit! Both for the culture, the food, and the vibe. Berlin is one of my favorite cities and places to be because of the vibe of the city. I don’t know why Berlin is never on the top of the list for people to travel to, but I urge you to go. I first went to Berlin in college many years ago and instantly fell in love. The city has so much to offer and so much history; but it also has a huge party and music scene where you can find any type of music, any night, from hard partying to laid back cocktail vibes. For exploring and site seeing, here are my recommendations that you don’t want to miss: walk around Tiergarten (you won’t even realize you are in the city in this beautiful forest); go and see the Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, and Checkpoint Charlie (all in the same area); head to Museum Island to visit the Pergamon Museum, National Gallery, Berlin Cathedral and more; check out Rotes Rathaus and the Berlin TV Tower next door (plus explore Alexanderplatz); head over to Kudamm for some great shopping and you can visit the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church; while you’re near Kudamm, check out Charlottenburg Palace and walk the grounds; eat your way through Markthalle Neun and visit the shops in Hackescher Makt! If you’re into the music scene, test your luck at Berghain; but there are plenty of other clubs and small venues to enjoy around the city. Don’t forget to grab a Doner in Kreuzberg because they have the best in the city – grab a Doner and walk down the river! Berlin’s food scene is also vibrant and diverse with Michelin restaurants to delicious street Doner and so much in between. Below are some recommendations we enjoyed during our trip. A few dishes you must try in Berlin are: Doner and Currywurst, which you can find almost anywhere in the city.
