Cafe Aloe

Cafe Aloe is a a wonderful place that can be best described as Dim Sum meets Coffee Shop. They are located in Bellevue, WA and are currently open Monday-Sunday, but closed on Wednesdays currently. They offer a wide selection of coffees and teas, along with breakfast sandwiches, steamed buns, dumplings, and egg tarts. Their cafe is super cute and welcoming – bright, white space that is clean and minimal – which makes it a great spot to work or take a break with some tasty coffee and treats!

We tried their Crispy Hong Kong Breakfast Sandwich with Spam, Creme Brulee Egg Tart, Cookies & Crema Latte, and Coconut Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The egg tart was incredible, we didn’t even get a picture of it before we devoured it (perfect excuse to go back for more tho!). If you have ever been to Hong Kong or China, you’ve probably eaten these delicious egg tarts – it is a sweet, custardy treat with a flakey crust on the outside. Cafe Aloe offers the Creme Brulee, which is topped and torched with sugar, a Matcha Egg Tart, and an Orignial Egg Tart. Grab all 3 for the perfect trio! The breakfast sandwhich was a sweet and savory combo. It is served on a pineapple type bun with a crusty, sugary topping then loaded with spam, eggs and cheese! The eggs are perfectly fluffy which partners well with the crunchy topping on the bun. We didn’t try them this trip, but they do have the cutest little steamed buns that are decorated to resemble little pigs – too cute you almost don’t want to eat them!
